Wednesday 23rd September - Norfolk

Wednesday 23rd to Norfolk  Well I managed to get to Liverpool street Station, and on to the correct train to Norwich, just under two hours journey time, quite pleasant looking at the countryside on the way, although often blurred by the speed of the train.  One of the stations we stopped at was Diss - there are definitely some weird names over here! A walk around the village in the afternoon, met some neighbours who are taking a trip to New Zealand in a few weeks time. Had a couple of blackberries, foraged pocketful of very large walnuts theme back to Flinstone Cottage ( The walls are flint, not Fred and Wilma and that was my day. Country lane where the walnuts were found, there is an orchard in the village for all, it is a commemoration of the Second World War, 55 people from Stibbard went to war only 45 came back, their names are under the trees. Last two day s in London

Sunday 21st and Monday 22nd September  A bit of a tourist for my last couple of days, London is so full of them! It would be unusual to hear the English language, unless spoken by an American or Australian. First up was the Royal Albert Hall, I walked there, only a 30 minute stroll through Kensington gardens, down a path I don’t usually take. The leaves are only beginning to turn colour but there are quite a few brown ones on the ground, another lovely day but a bit cooler. As always I was a bit early so wondered down a gated path called the flower walk Mostly shade loving plants, not many flowers left, but pretty all the same then I came across this sign. A step or two further on, or next minute I was surrounded by the little beasties!  I know the grey ones are a bit of a pest and taking over from the red squirrels, but they are still very cute to this Antipodean!! The Prince Albert Memorial is just opposite the hall, i must admit it is very impressive close up. The last one ...
